Our team includes award-winning producers and engineers with multiple Grammy nominations, platinum records, and two Emmy Awards. We also take pride in our Santa Barbara roots, where our former studio earned the prestigious Technical Excellence and Creativity (TEC) Award for Recording Studio Design Build in 2008.

Over the years, Playback has collaborated with an impressive roster of clients. From icons like Oprah, Travis Scott, Eladio Carrión, and Katy Perry to talented acts such as Rebelution, Max Martin, and Olivia Newton-John, our studio has been the creative hub for their projects. Notably, Katy Perry chose Playback as the birthplace of several chart-topping hits, working alongside producers Max Martin, Dr. Luke, and songwriter Bonnie McKee. From Teenage Dream to Last Friday Night, the success of those tracks brought her back for recording sessions on PRISM, including Roar and Dark Horse.
